The Ultimate Fast Food Deal
A scientific approach to maximizing calories per dollar. No points, no loyalty statusβjust fresh app downloads and the best deals available for a single person.
This study involved downloading each chain's official app, researching the best available deals, and cross-referencing with published nutrition facts to calculate the optimal calorie-to-dollar ratio.
By The Numbers
The Winner
Little Caesars
Pretzel Crust Pizza (Pepperoni), Slices-N-Stix Bacon, Crazy Sauce
"Little Caesars takes the crown with an astounding 424 calories per dollarβnearly double the next competitor. Ordering from their app unlocks exclusive deals on their already-cheap pizza offerings, making it the undisputed king of bang-for-your-buck."

Personal Favorites
While Little Caesars wins on pure numbers, these are my go-to picks for everyday value and satisfaction.
Arby's BOGO Deal
The Buy One, Get One sandwich deal is a hidden gem. Here's the trick: you only pay for the first item, not the more expensive one. So if you order a cheaper sandwich first, the pricier burger is free. It's a quirk of the system that makes this deal incredibly flexible and rewarding.
Taco Bell Luxe Cravings Box
The online-exclusive "Build Your Own Luxe Cravings Box" offers an excellent mix: a Crunchwrap Supreme, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Chips & Cheese, and a Medium Baja Blast. It's a full, satisfying meal with varietyβnot just bulk calories from one item. However, prices vary wildly by location (see below).
The Taco Bell Price Paradox
The same "Luxe Cravings Box" deal can cost anywhere from $4.99 to $12.99 depending on the franchise location. This is a 160% price swing for the exact same items.
In Mankato, this deal rivals Little Caesars. In Corvallis, it's one of the worst values tested.

Methodology & Limitations
How it was done: Each chain's official app was freshly downloaded with no prior account history or accumulated points. The goal was to find the best deal available to a brand-new customer ordering for one person. Nutrition facts tables were consulted when available to ensure accurate calorie counts.
What was excluded: This study did not include KFC, Raising Cane's (currently under construction locally), and potentially one or two other regional chains. The focus was on nationally available fast food apps.
The "Single Person" Constraint: Deals requiring multiple people (e.g., "Family Meals") were excluded unless the food could reasonably be consumed by one person over a short period (like the pizza deals).
Price Variability: As demonstrated with Taco Bell, franchise pricing can vary significantly. Prices listed here are from the author's local area in Idaho unless otherwise noted.
